Youth Programmes

Here at Stoney Creek United Church we excited by the vibrancy and activity exhibited by the youth in our congregation.  Along with being active participants in many church programmes, as well as the spiritual education programmes and the inter-generational worship services run by the Christian Development team, our youth have undertaken a number of programmes of their own.

1. Sol Cafe for Teens  Expand Me

Join Rob and Tony for a musical jam session held every Sunday from 9-10am in the Chapel. Come and play or learn to play an instrument. Faith, fun and fellowship in an informal environment.

3. Operation Clean teen  Expand Me

In a programme designed to reach out to the marginalized youth within our own community, donations of toiletries (toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, etc.) are given to underprivileged or homeless teens attending school within the H.W.D.S.B.

4. Youth Time Penny Drive  Expand Me

Each week during coffee hour, pennies are collected and donated to the annual Case for Kids walkathon sponsored by Wesley Urban Ministries.

5. 2007 Food Drive Expand Me

A collection box is placed in the main entrance to the church for donations of non-perishable food items. The 2007 goal of 3,500 items has already been surpassed. Way to go!

6. Teen Dances Expand Me

On the last Friday of each month, the CE Auditorium hosts a dance, where teens can hang out together for a few hours, have fun and dance to the music of a local dee-jay. Tickets are $8 at the door and go on sale at 7pm. Doors open at 8pm. Parents get front of the line access for ticket sales!
Money raised from the dances is donated to the Church.
