How To...Become a Member To borrow a line from someone else..."Membership has its rewards."
To become a member of SCUC contact the church office at (905)662-4963. The minister or Colleen will arrange to meet with you for an information session. The minister will set a date for new members to officially join and be recognized during one of the Worship Services.. If this is by transfer from another congregation we will contact the church where they are a member for any required information. SCUC has several facilities that are available for use for church activities as well
as by outside parties. We have a fully accessible building and can accommodate requests from small classrooms or
meeting rooms to a fully catered function in the auditorium. We have 3 Classrooms or small meeting rooms. For larger groups, up to 75, we have the Fireside Room. For that
special gathering, we have the CE Auditorium which can be licenced for wine service and is adjacent to a full service kitchen.
Catering requests can be accommodated through our Hospitality Plus group by contacting Jeanne Willis, the Food Services Co-ordinator at
(905)662-4963 ext. 303 Want to take a more active role in fulfilling the church's mission? We are always
looking for volunteers. From providing occasional help at church functions to being a member on one of our teams,
there is a good place to make use of your time and talent at SCUC.. To become a volunteer contact Colleen Cavanagh (905)662-4963 ext 224. During an information session, a Spiritual Gift Inventory may be completed. Volunteers are given the opportunity to serve in an area they choose. Please note Police Record checks are requied for certain positions. There is a nominations process for serving on the various teams which will be explained during the initial meeting. SCUC has two beautiful facilities available for wedding services. With full acessibility, convenient location and two chapels to chose from, Stoney Creek United
can accommodate any size wedding party in style. To make your special day stress free, we also offer catering and the services
of a wedding co-ordinator. To book your wedding at SCUC, please contact Beth Corrigan at the church office. (905)662-4963 At Stoney Creek United Church, we are committed to the credo that it takes a village to raise a child.
Nowhere is this more evident than during one of our baptism services.
The baptism of your child is a special event in both their and your faith development.
The baptismal co-ordinator will make this day special and the congregation at SCUC embrace their role in this
